In a COVID update, another Moffat County death is being reported by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The number went up to 47 deaths on the CDPHE’s tally on Thursday. The local numbers are updated by Moffat County Commissioners once a week, on Mondays. Routt County’s death toll from COVID is at 23.
You can get tested for COVID today, Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing is done in the parking lot at Strings Music Pavilion, on the Wildhorse Plaza Side. Pre-register through Mako Medical. Link to Register
One more reminder, opening day for Steamboat Resort is NEXT Saturday, Nov. 27. It was supposed to be tomorrow but there just isn’t quite enough snow yet. Opening day for Howelsen Hill was also moved back a week, to Dec. 4.

The third rifle season ends Friday. But the next one starts up again next week, Nov. 24-28, over Thanksgiving. Hunters are always asked to let someone know where you’re going and when you plan to be back.
If you’re making your Thanksgiving plans, remember the annual Thanksgiving dinner, hosted by Routt County United Way. It is Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25. Meals are “to go” again this year. Drive over to the Steamboat Community Center in the afternoon to pick up your Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixins. Mountain Valley Bank has sponsored the event this year and the local United Way wants to thank all who have volunteered to cook and to help out next Thursday.
The 37th Annual Concordia Christmas Bazaar is tomorrow, at Concordia Lutheran Church off of Amethyst. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
