This is the Northwest Colorado News. I’m Rose Dalton filling in for Shannon Lukens.
Colorado Northwestern Community College is working to meet the needs of communities on both of their campuses, which are in Craig and Rangely. Dr. Lisa Jones is the president of CNCC, who says they are constantly working with community groups, local educators, elected officials and residents on what the communities need.
Dr. Jones says they want high school students to take advantage of opportunities at the college. Programs include nursing, cyber security, cosmetology, and ag business. CNCC is hoping to expand its business and accounting programs in Craig and also grow the rodeo team which will be based in Moffat County. The Rangely campus offers aviation and dental hygiene programs, and one of only six National Park Ranger programs in the country.
