Routt County Search and Rescue had two successful calls this weekend.
That’s Harry Sandler, who was on both calls. He said one was a hiker on Saturday up in North Routt by Diamond Peak. That person was feeling sick, went down to a lower elevation, and was still sick, and then called search and rescue. They used their utility terrain vehicle in the heavy rain to get that person into Steamboat for evaluation. A second person missed a turn in the Run Rabbit Run competition and ended up past Dumont Lake near Rabbit Ears. She got cold and it was getting dark so search and rescue was called to pick her up and get her back to her family.
