Casey’s Pond Senior Living in Steamboat Springs has named Greg Melear as the new Senior Director, effective as of Tuesday, June 16.
Melear has been Director of Operations since last September, and will now oversee all operations at Casey’s Pond.
“Excited about the opportunity. A lot of my past experience is transitioning nicely over here with leadership and operations. I think that the work that we’re doing give me also a sense of purpose and appreciation. Definitely, I love what I’m doing right now.”
Melear has worked in operations and hospitality for more than 18 years, with experience in managing complex residential, hospitality, and property operations throughout Colorado. Melear and his family live in North Routt.
Residents and visitors have been notified about Melear’s promotion in a letter at the front desk. Melear replaces Jeanine Woosley, who resigned from her position as Executive Director in May.
Casey’s Pond Senior Living opened in October 2013, and today offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. In 2024, Northwest Colorado Health became the new owner after a community-led effort to keep Casey’s Pond going in the community.
