You may have seen a nice man, in a bright orange vest, walking throughout downtown Steamboat Springs almost every day. He’s carrying a bucket and a trash picker.
“My name is George Bagwell, and I volunteer for Main Street Steamboat.”

We asked 76-year-old George how often he walks the streets of downtown Steamboat Springs and why.
“Almost daily. It gets me out of my chair.”
George says he expects to be busy this week as there is always a lot of trash around town after busy weekends, like the 4th of July. Here is where you might see him.
“Everywhere between the library and the post office, on Lincoln Avenue, Yampa Street and Oak Street.”

So keep an eye out for George, almost every day, picking up trash, making his rounds, and making a difference.
