The plastic bag ban goes into effect in Steamboat Springs tomorrow. No more plastic bags for free at the grocery stores, Walmart and Walgreens. You’ll want to bring in reusable bags. If you do need a bag for your groceries, it will cost you $0.20 per bag.  Another option is bag shares, which are at some stores already.  If you use a bag, wash it and return it for someone else to use. Once again, the plastic bag ban starts tomorrow.
