The Middle Fork Fire and smoke from the West Coast fires brought smoky skies to the Yampa Valley Tuesday. The air quality measurement at the Routt County Courthouse reached the 150 to 200 range, which means, "Everyone may begin to experience health effects if they are exposed for 24 hours; members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects." Smoky days will continue until those fires are out. Check the air quality in Routt County and anywhere in the United States at PurpleAir.com

Each resort is working with local county and state regulations. No daily lift tickets will be sold. Those with season passes will be prioritized. Listeners have been asking if that is Ikon pass holders or Steamboat-only pass holders. Officials at the mountain tell Steamboat Radio, “We’ll make a Steamboat-specific announcement later this week.”
