(Update, March 9) Big game tonight at Steamboat Springs High School!
The bracket is out for the 4A CHSAA State Basketball playoffs. The undefeated Steamboat Sailors are ranked 6th in the state. Their first game is tonight at 6 p.m. against 27th ranked Wheat Ridge. That game is at Kelly Meek Gymnasium at Steamboat Springs High School. Fans aren’t allowed at the game because of COVID but you can watch the game through the Sailors Athletics You Tube Channel and listen to the play-by-play on KTYV 105.7 Sports on FM with Steamboat Radio.
(Sunday, March 7) The Steamboat Sailors Boys Varsity Basketball team won their last regular season game against Palisade on Saturday. The score was 71-30. The Sailors are undefeated 14-0, and ranked #1 in the 4A Western Slope League heading into the state playoffs. Only two teams in the CHSAA 4A rankings are undefeated at 14-0. That’s Steamboat and Montrose. Despite a perfect record, the Sailors are tied for 8th place in the Coaches Poll for the Class 4A rankings. Seedings will be released Monday morning.
