The Leadership Steamboat program is working on a community support project that will provide much needed infrastructure improvements for the local food systems of Northwest Colorado. They have received a $10,000 matching donation and are hoping to raise more for the cooperative freezer storage infrastructure project. The freezer container is 40’ with over 2,000 cubic feet of storage space. It will provide reliable year-round storage space to store processed goods until there is a demand in the local markets. It allows locals to enjoy locally produced products.
