The new building for UCHealth Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine has opened up. It’s the former Steamboat Emergency Center building at Pine Grove Road and Hwy 40 in Steamboat. There are seven exam rooms with lab and x-ray services on site. The Urgent Care is open seven days a week and no appointment is necessary, but you can reserve a spot in line through UCHealth.org.

Here’s more from a UCHealth News Release.

UCHealth Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine now open in new location in Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs, Colo. (May 25, 2021) – UCHealth Urgent Care and UCHealth Occupational Medicine are now open at 1600 Mid Valley Drive in Steamboat Springs.

“UCHealth and Yampa Valley Medical Center are here for the Steamboat Springs community, and we are excited to offer these services in a new location,” said Soniya Fidler, president of UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center. “Urgent care is a new service offering for YVMC and allows us to provide another level of care for locals and visitors as we continue working to lower the cost of health care for everyone.”

The new location consists of seven exam rooms that will be utilized with both urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Lab and x-ray services are onsite, with any additional patient imaging needs and services available at the hospital.

Advanced practice providers, registered nurses, medical assistants and technicians will care for patients experiencing illness or minor injuries that don’t warrant a trip to the emergency department, yet are too important to wait for a primary care appointment.

“A number of the staff who previously worked at the location accepted positions with UCHealth, both in the urgent care and occupational medicine setting as well as at the hospital, and we’ve hired other staff as well,” said Ryan Larson, director of clinic operations at YVMC. “Patients can be confident that their health is in good hands.”

Urgent Care
UCHealth Urgent Care – Steamboat Springs is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. If desired, patients can reserve their spot in line online at www.uchealth.org/steamboatuc and receive a text when it’s time to enter the building. For more information, call 970.871.9770. Most insurances are accepted, including Tricare, Colorado Medicaid and Medicare.

Patients can receive care for a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, including animal bites, colds and flu, ear infections, lacerations, minor infections and wounds, sore throats and coughs, sinus infections and respiratory illnesses, sprains, strains and possible broken bones, urinary tract infections and workers’ compensation injuries, among others.

Occupational Medicine
UCHealth Occupational Medicine Clinic – Steamboat Springs, formerly located at 3001 S. Lincoln Ave., is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Occupational medicine provides routine care for work-related requirements, such as DOT physicals, drug screenings, and pre-employment exams, and in partnership with urgent care, can address acute work-related injuries, too.
