
Routt County says they are getting calls about work being done on County Road 33, and people didn’t know the road is closed. It is closed now and will be closed for about three weeks.
Work started Monday on one of three culverts going in under County Road 33 that will convey Cow Creek under the road. The area impacted is from the intersection of County Road 33 and 33A to a mile south. The road will be closed for about three weeks while the south culvert is replaced. Routt County Work Closures

Routt County Replacing Culverts On County Road 33 Near Cow Creek Area
Starting on July 12, 2021, the general contractor selected by Routt County will begin construction on one of three culverts under County Road 33 that convey Cow Creek under the road. The area impacted will be from the intersection of CR 33 and 33A to a mile south of the intersection. Crews will start with the culvert on the far south end. The road will be closed for approximately three weeks while the south culvert is being replaced. Please respect all road closures as we work to improve the drainage in this area.
Anyone trying to access the other side of the construction site should use CR 41 to CR 43 or CR 179 to CR 33B.
