Jill Delay has announced her resignation as long-time manager of the Routt County Fair and Fairgrounds in Hayden. Delay has coordinated the fairgrounds and the county fair for 16 years, and worked for Routt County for 23 years.

 

 

In her resignation letter to the board, Delay writes, “I am proud of the accomplishments, improvements, and positive changes I was able to be a part of in my time here. I will miss my Fair family and their dedication to the history of this event, these grounds, and this community.”

Delay’s last day on the job is at the end of August, after the 2021 Routt County Fair. She and her husband will be moving to South Dakota to work with the Central States Fair there and be closer to family.
