Dinosaur bones can be seen up close at the Colorado Northwestern Field Museum at CNCC. The bones are from the Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous Periods. Sue Mock is a volunteer with the museum. She says the Dinosaur and Paleontology Museum houses the bones for the Bureau of Land Management, both state and federal.
Sue says you can see the dinosaur bones at CNCC from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday or Sunday. She’ll take you into the repository to see the work their doing and the actual fossils. If you can’t make it on a weekend, call 970-824-1129 to set up an appointment.
