The coloring contest for the Sandhill Crane Festival wraps up Aug. 15, so turn in your finished problems. It’s for kids ages three to 18.
You can pick up a copy at the libraries in Steamboat, Oak Creek, Hayden, and Craig. It’s also at Lyon’s Drug in Steamboat. Or download it through the Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition (CCCC) website, under the program tab. Kids can color, paint, and decorate the crane drawing in any way they see fit, and return it to one of the places listed above before Aug. 15. Or it can be mailed to CCCC at 40625 County Road 69A in Hayden, CO 81639.
Winners will be notified in late August, and awards, generously provided by Lyon’s Drugs, will be given out at a special ceremony during the 10th annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival, September 2-5, 2021. All contest entries will be displayed at the Bud Werner Library throughout the festival.
