
Colorado House Representative Dylan Roberts spoke with Routt County Commissioners Tuesday about child care and the complexities with providing it, in Routt County and across the state. Right now, availability of child care facilities and staff is the main problem, as well affordability.
Routt County Commissioner Beth Melton says it is a crisis and there should be an “all hands on deck” approach.
Commissioner Tim Corrigan said, “Ideally, we would treat birth through 5 years old the same as we do K-12.” Corrigan added, “We are here to support you for any work you can do on this at the state capitol.”
