Around 450 girls and their families and friends all ran a 5K through Strawberry Park Saturday morning for Girls on the Run of Western Colorado. The first girl across the finish line was Steamboat 5th grader, Georgia Bishop.

Runners came to Steamboat Springs for the event from across Western Colorado, including Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Grand Junction, and Craig. Lyla Meade says a group of girls raced from school. Lyla is a 4th grader at Sunset Elementary.
