A Steamboat man died by suicide Wednesday at Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat. He has not been identified. Hikers discovered the body this morning. Routt County Search and Rescue and Routt County Sheriff’s Officers were on scene.
Mindy Marriott is the executive director for REPS which is Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide. She says this is the second suicide in a week in Steamboat, which hasn’t happened since 2011. There have been nine suicides in Steamboat this year.

Meghan Francone is the Director of REPS (Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide) and Open Heart Advocates in Moffat County, where there have been five suicides this year, as confirmed by Moffat County Coroner Jesse Arthurs.
