Steamboat Resort recently hosted close to 90 people from throughout the airline industry for the 22nd Annual Airline Partners’ Summit. Janet Fischer is the director of the airline program for Steamboat Resort.

Fischer says six airlines are flying into Yampa Valley Regional Airport out of Hayden this winter which benefits everyone in Northwest Colorado with availability and flexibility. The competition among the airlines results in lower fares.
Fischer says last year was the first time two airlines served the airport in Hayden for spring, summer, and fall. That resulted in a 225% increase in capacity, which is the most Yampa Valley Regional Airport has ever had.
Both airlines will be back again in spring, summer, and fall. United will have three flights a day and Southwest will have as many as two flights a day between June 5 and Sept. 5.
Steamboat (HDN) had the second highest seat growth of any airport in the United States from 2019 to 2021.
Steamboat has seen the largest seat growth vs. its peers over the last three ski seasons.
Steamboat has more airlines coming in and out of Yampa Valley Regional Airport than any other ski airport in Colorado.
