A Craig man has been arrested for allegedly passing counterfeit $100 bills at the Loaf & Jug on West Victory Way. 28-year-old Alex David Morgan was arrested Friday afternoon. Craig Police Chief Mike Cochran said Loaf & Jug had very good video of the suspect and the tags of the car he got in when he left. Chief Cochran said the fake $100 bills have been used three times recently, but Morgan was only arrested for the one incident.
Morgan is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument which is Counterfeit Money and failure to appear.
Notice the red Chinese letter symbols on the back left side of the $100 bill. Chief Cochran also says look for “Movie Money” on the fake bills.
