Opening Ceremonies kicked off the 109th Winter Carnival Wednesday night in Olympian Hall at Howelsen Hill.
Bob and Leslie Dapper were introduced as Grand Marshals.
Royalty is Kendall Harrington as Queen.
Her attendants are Suzy Magill and Izzy Powell.
And the eight Little Princesses couldn’t have been more delightful as emcee Tom Whidden announced their favorite fun thing to do, favorite foods and colors.
One big announcement is that John Banks, The Lighted Man, is passing the torch this year after being the Lighted Man for 49 years. His brother Kent will be taking over the job at Saturday night’s Winter Carnival festivities at Howelsen Hill.
Joe Bishop Scholarship Award Winners are Tatum Lightner and Grey Barbier. They each win a $2000 scholarship.
