
The 2022 State Wrestling Tournament starts Thursday at Ball Arena in Denver. We’ll have live coverage on KRAI at 93.7 and 102.3 starting at noon Thursday, 8:30 a.m. on Friday and then throughout the day on Saturday, as warranted. You can also listen at KRAI.com.
Making the call on KRAI will be Dean Vogelaar, Brad Pollock and Brian Harvey.
Here is the breakdown of how many wrestlers are headed to the state tournament from Northwest Colorado:
- 10 from Moffat County High School
- Nine from Hayden High School
- One from Steamboat Springs High School
- Four from Soroco High School in Oak Creek
- 12 from Meeker High School
- Four from Rangely High School
The Moffat County Wrestling team is getting a big sendoff Wednesday at 3:20 p.m. at the high school. Then they’ll be escorted out of town on their way to the state tournament in Denver around 4:45 p.m. so keep an eye out for the bus.
The bus with the Soroco wrestlers headed to state leaves at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and will travel through Oak Creek and Yampa.
