From USA Nordic:
PARK CITY, Utah (Feb. 26, 2022) – The USA will be well represented at the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) Junior World Championships for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined in March. USA Nordic, the national leadership organization for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined, has named a team of 17 athletes to compete in the March 2-6, 2022, event in Zakopane, Poland.
Five men and four women qualified for the Ski Jumping team. It will be the third Junior Worlds appearance for Erik Belshaw (Steamboat Springs, Colo.), the fourth for Paige Jones (Park City, Utah), and the fifth appearance for Annika Belshaw (Steamboat Springs, Colo.).
Five men and three women qualified in Nordic Combined. It will be the fourth Junior Worlds team for Niklas Malacinski (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) and Tess Arnone (Steamboat Springs, Colo.), along with Alexa Brabec’s (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) third appearance. This will also be the second Junior Worlds for Carter Brubaker (Anchorage, Alaska) and Gunnar Gilbertson (Steamboat Springs, Colo.).
