Steamboat Springs athletes are being recognized with All-State and All-Conference honors.
In SSHS Girls Basketball, Steamboat’s Maggie Crouch has been named Coach of the Year in the Western Slope League. The 26-year-old came in mid-season as Head Coach and helped lead the team to finish third in the league.
Here’s what Maggie Crouch has to say about the honor.
First Team All Conference for the SSHS girls in the 4A Western Slope League is Senior Sam Campbell. Three Steamboat Springs players made Honorable Mention. They are all seniors: Darby Martinez, Caroline McLaughlin, and Grace Harper. SSHS Girls Basketball
For the Sailor Boys Basketball team, All-Conference players in 4A are Cade Gedeon, Kellen Adams, and Parker Lindquist. Honorable Mention honors go to Ben Bogan.
In hockey, First Team All-State in 4A is forward Andrew Kempers for the Sailors. Walker Ripley is Honorable Mention at defense for Steamboat.
Honorable Mention goes to Max Kenney, Tanner Hamilton, and Indi Kretzschmar.

For the SSHS Wrestling team, the Sailors finished third in the Western Slope League.
First team honors go to: Kaleb Young, Cole Muhme, and Henry Dismuke.
Second Team honors are John Bene.
Honorable Mention is Layton Morrison.
