Crews are working on Pine Grove Road just off Hwy 40 right now on a broken 8” sewer main. The call came in Tuesday afternoon about the sewer line being blocked.

Frank Alfone is with Mount Werner Water and Sanitation. He says everyone jumped in to help with the problem, to get the water flowing last night.

Alfone says 30 to 35 condos and business are served by that line but they weren’t affected.

One concern is other buried power and gas lines that have to be identified before the digging starts. That is what all of the flags and markings are in the picture below.

Alfone says they hope to have all of the repairs done by the end of the day.
