Steamboat Springs High School is undergoing lots of improvements inside the building this summer. Here’s Pascal Ginesta with a description of everything happening to improve SSHS during the summer break.

The theater is getting a complete remodel, including new seats and paint and better house lighting.
The area below the stage is called “Stagecraft.” It’s a multi-use space that has been used as storage. It will be redesigned for the theater students for rehearsals, with a washer and dryer, and bathroom.
Then all of the carpet and stair treads in the building are getting replaced. That flooring has been there since 1997. Here’s Facilities Director Pascal Ginesta.
All of the sidewalks next to the building will be replaced with new ones that melt the snow. Work begins inside the school once school is out and the district has 77 days to get it done.
