Five goats were killed by at least one bear along 131 in Oak Creek Canyon Wednesday night. Sandy Wisecup thinks it was a big cinnamon bear, and there could have been more than one.
Wisecup spent last night putting up an electric fence around her goat enclosure. But then as soon as it was up, her horses got very disturbed and alert, so she and her daughter, Dakota, knew the bear was back.
Wisecup said the Colorado Parks and Wildlife agent warned her the bear would be back, and also said she will be reimbursed for the cost of her goats.
This happened along 131 in Oak Creek Canyon, between mile marker 54 and 55.
