Steamboat residents are supporting war efforts in Ukraine.

Sunday was a fundraiser at Johnny B. Good’s in downtown Steamboat. Mark Kovach of Steamboat is working with several international groups that are helping in Ukraine, specifically with orphaned children, to get them to safety.

The money will be directly used to fund two vans that left the UK Tuesday, headed to Ukraine with supplies, and then to be used to transport children there to safety.

There is an online option to donate through Johnny B. Good’s website. Look for the Online Ordering tab and the Donations Link. Mike and Kathy Diemer say 100 percent of all online donations will go to the relief effort in Ukraine.

You can reach out to Mark Kovach on Instagram at @markkovach888.
