Both Moffat County and Steamboat Springs School Districts are hiring superintendents. The search firm of McPherson and Jacobson is being used. The Moffat County District asked residents for their opinion on qualities for a superintendent in a survey. That survey closed yesterday. The Steamboat Springs School District is having three in-person sessions on Thursday to find out what skills, qualities, and characteristics people want. Students are invited at 3:30 p.m., teachers at 4:30 p.m., and parents and community members are at 5:30 p.m. That’s Thursday in the District Office Boardroom on 7th Street.
Moffat County Public Health has some baby formula for those families who may need it. There is a nationwide shortage right now. Reach out to Moffat County Public Health to schedule an appointment.
In COVID numbers, Routt County is reporting 12 new cases of COVID on Tuesday from the day before. Moffat County had three new cases.

With so much snow and rain lately, the trails are muddy. That means some are closed to hikers and bikers. Sometimes they’re marked and sometimes they aren’t. Please stay off those trails until they dry out.

Calling all cattlemen. The annual convention for the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association is June 13-15 in Colorado Springs. Anyone in the cattle industry is invited. Registration is open. Call the CCA office at 303-431-6422 to get registered or register online for the event.
The Mom Swap is back. It’s a semi-annual swap for kids clothing, toys, and gear. Drop off things you don’t want or need anymore on Friday at the Steamboat Montessori School in west Steamboat. Then Saturday, come by from 9 a.m. to noon to pick out what you need. This includes clothes, shoes, swings, bouncers, costumes, strollers, high chairs, baby gates and more. There’s a list and you’ll find it on our Facebook page. Everyone is invited.
