A 9th grader at Steamboat Springs High School died early Thursday, at the hospital. The school district is not providing any details on the death of Jacqueline Puentes Valdez. She’s known as Jackie. The school is offering grief counseling to those who may need it today.

Today is the last day of school for kids in the Steamboat Springs School District.

A woman walked into City Market and Walmart in Craig Saturday, and passed along some counterfeit money. Craig Police Officer Izauro Gonzalez has more on what bills were passed and how you can tell they’re fake.

Officer Gonzalez says the white female using the counterfeit money could be from the area, or just passing through, and heading on to other parts of Northwest Colorado, so be aware. Pictures are on our website. If you know who the person is, please contact Craig Police at 970-824-8111. Or submit a tip through www.CraigPolice.com
