Steamboat Springs High School has a new dance team. Tryouts were this past weekend.
Alexa Struss will be the new head coach.
“I had been a dance coach at a high school in Indiana. I just moved here a year ago and they didn’t have one here so that was my cue that they had to start a dance team here in Steamboat.”
The new Sailor Dance Team will perform at all home football games this fall, plus a few other athletic and community events throughout the year. They’ll also perform in one CHSAA regional competition.
Tryouts will continue today for any students who are still interested, who may have missed this weekend’s tryouts.
