Linda Long has lived in South Routt County her entire life. Fifty years ago, she started working on the exhibits for the Routt County Fair. She said she had a grim prognosis so she grabbed her boys and went to the fair. Here’s her story.

 

Linda took the boys to the Rabbit Hutch Building where she ran into her friend, Shirley. That’s where the fair exhibits were. She was surprised at what happened next. 

 

Linda said she has seen some crazy things over the years. Here’s a good story about some bulls out on an adventure.

 

Linda says she has two more years to serve on the Routt County Fair Board. She’ll turn over the duties of Exhibit Hall to Nancy Mucklow and Nita Naugle. Linda was recognized for her 50 years of service at the Routt County Fair on Thursday.
