A skull was found Sunday afternoon by a hunter, north of Adams Park, in northwest Routt County. It’s just north of where the Rainbow Gathering was held this summer. Members of the Routt County Sheriff’s Office and the Routt County Coroner did an immediate search of the area and could not find any other remains.
It is unknown if it is the skull of Jacob Cyr who was last seen in the area on June 18 and then reported missing on Aug. 8. Routt County Undersheriff Doug Scherar says tests will be done using dental records. Scherar says detectives are coordinating with Routt County Search and Rescue and dog teams from outside the area to organize another search.
