Club 20 members from throughout the Western Slope are meeting in Grand Junction today and Saturday. The big event is candidate debates for those running in Western Colorado. Routt County Commissioner Tim Redmond will be one of the moderators of some of the debates. While he is there, he plans to visit what he calls a food technology center in Mesa County. He says it’s something that could be a partnership for ag producers in Routt, Moffat, and Rio Blanco counties.
Commissioner Redmond says a food technology center would be for processing, meat packing, cold storage refrigeration, and a commercial kitchen in a co-op style. It would bring more jobs into the region and more money. It would also keep the culture, history and heritage in the area.
Today and tomorrow in the town of Dinosaur in western Moffat County, it’s the Dinosaur Stone Age Stampede and Rodeo. The fun is at Cady Park which is at 600 Triceratops Terrace in Dinosaur.

Look for volunteers, and local law enforcement and firefighters putting over 5,000 flags out on the lawn at Yampa Valley Bank in Steamboat Springs late this afternoon. You’re welcome to help. It’s the 9/11 Never Forget Project.
The 2022 Hayden Cog Ride is this Saturday.
