A man from Oklahoma decided to try to drive across the Yampa River Sunday night, in his Jeep Wrangler. It happened near the Hayden Pumphouse off Highway 40. Routt County Undersheriff Doug Scherar said the Oklahoma man made it across twice but then got stuck the third time. A tow truck was called and pulled the Jeep out of the river. Scherar said no one was hurt. Video of the Jeep in the river, courtesy of Nick LaGorga.
