A firefighter at the Oak Creek Fire Department has made it on the Colorado Firefighters Calendar for 2023. Nathan Carranza has been a firefighter in Oak Creek for about eight months. A firefighting friend saw him working out and suggested he try out to be in the calendar.

“Kind of surreal to be honest. It was not something that I feel like was real going into it until I saw my image on a calendar.”

Carranza is also a dancer, and was on Season 12 of So You Think You Can Dance.

The calendars are $20 each. All of the money goes to the Burn Center at Children’s Hospital. Carranza will be setting up some public appearances and ways to buy the calendar online. But until then…

“People can also always stop by the Oak Creek Fire Department and they can receive a signed copy from me directly.” (Oak Creek Fire is at 23655 County Road 16 in Oak Creek.)

Carranza is on the month of June.
