The Museum of Northwest Colorado in Craig is always receiving donated items. Paul Knowles with the museum says they have a collection of beads and Native American jewelry found in Northwest Colorado and Southwest Wyoming, that was collected over the last 40 years. Those headed west originally traded the items with the Native Americans who were here.
The items in the collection are from the early 1800s. Knowles says they are working on preparing the items to be on display at the Museum of Northwest Colorado by the end of the year.
Here is a video of Paul Knowles explaining the different items.
