More than 350 voting centers are opening across Colorado today. That includes at local county clerk’s offices. Ballots are also being mailed in. Once that ballot gets to the local county clerk’s office, it is opened by a signature verification board. That’s a team of bipartisan judges that verifies the signature on the ballot envelope with past signatures on that voter’s record. If there is a problem, the voter has up to eight days after election day to cure that ballot and prove they are the one who sent it. After that, the ballots that have cleared go to an opening board, which is another team of bipartisan judges. Here’s Routt County Clerk and Recorder Jenny Thomas.
Drop off your ballots in the secure dropbox at the county clerk’s office in your county, or the town halls in Hayden, Yampa, and Oak Creek.

A mandatory full-day fishing closure is in effect on a 0.6-mile stretch of the Yampa River between the dam at Stagecoach State Park, downstream to the lowermost park boundary. It’s because of decreased water flow from Stagecoach Reservoir. Colorado Parks and Wildlife says the fishing ban will continue until further notice.
