The Routt County Conservation District is hosting four Toolkit Listening Sessions for ag producers and landowners. It’s a way to come up with good practices and ideas on how to build resiliency health for drought, wildfire, and soil.

Marines from Routt County are recognizing 247 years of service to their country on Thursday. There will be a cake and speeches from past and present Marines from the area. After the ceremony, all military members will be recognized for Veterans Day. All are invited. It’s from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at West Side Sports Grill in Steamboat Springs.
Treats for Troops recently collected 212 pounds of Halloween Candy. Thanks to those who donated.
The Warren Miller Movie is headed back to Steamboat Springs. It’s the 73rd annual ski and snowboard film. This year’s movie is called “Daymaker.” Tonight’s show is sold out but tickets are still available for Friday, and Saturday at CMC Albright Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and need to be purchased online. The Winter Sports Club website will have more information.
The Drama Troupe at Steamboat Springs High School presents Rock of Ages – the School Musical, starting tonight.
Junior Eva Mosher plays Hilda. She says the show is based on the plot of the Journey song, “Don’t Stop Believing.”
Steamboat Senior Alivia Warren plays Sherrie Christian in the musical.
Rock of Ages – The School Musical is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. with a special 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday. It’s $10 for general admission or $20 for VIP tickets, available at Steamboat Springs High School.
The Oak Creek Board of Trustees meets Thursday night, starting at 6 p.m.
Winter Carnival Button Artwork is due on Friday. It’s for young artists, 18 years old or younger. The theme will be “Dream, Dare, Dazzle.” Steamboat Springs Winter Sports has the details. Form to submit artwork.

Stop by the Maybell Store Friday morning. They’re having a fundraiser Bake Sale for Maybell Elementary. It starts at 8 a.m. Then the Soup Dinner is Saturday evening at Maybell Elementary School.
Cayden King from Moffat County High School has committed to playing basketball at Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction.
King was injured last year for the Bulldogs but she’s ready to go this season. The first game for the Moffat County girls team is Dec. 3.
