A group of 15 Steamboat Springs high school students is raising money to build wells in Uganda. The program is called Generation U and it is based in Steamboat Springs. At a recent fundraiser, they told about how each well built in a village can help save 38 lives each year.
Here’s SSHS freshman Tanner Cobb.
Junior Henry Seremet says the boys are also learning the importance of the project. They’ll all travel to Uganda during Blues Break in February.
The group hopes to build 15 new wells this year, and they’re raising money to do that. Donations can be made through the Generation U website at www.gen-u.org
