Routt County is reporting two new deaths from COVID. Routt County Coroner Mitch Locke says the deaths of the two Routt County residents happened last week. No other details are being released.
The Vaccine Mobile Bus will be at the CNCC Campus in Rangely from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Thursday. This is for flu and COVID vaccines. It’s free; no ID or insurance is required.
The offices for Moffat County Public Health have moved. They’re at 473 Yampa Ave. in Craig right now, until their new offices are ready in the new courthouse building, sometime after the first of the year.
Memorial Regional Health in Craig has named Kendra Rollison as the new Infusion Center Manager. She has been a registered nurse with MRH for over six years.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has announced a settlement with Walmart, to resolve claims that the company contributed to the opioid addiction crisis by failing to appropriately oversee the dispensing of opioids at its stores. It’s a $3.1 billion dollar settlement, with Colorado receiving more than $40 million dollars of that.
Leadership awards have been presented to three employees with the Steamboat Springs Police Department. Sergeant Sam Silva is Leader of the Year, named in honor of the late Sgt. Jeff Wilson. Evidence Technician Forest Yeager is the Professional Staff of the Year. Detective Greg Griffin is Officer of the Year.
“We’re fortunate to have so many dedicated officers and staff serving our community,” continued Burlingame. “These awards set a high standard for excellence, and I know will inspire all of us to strive to be our best every day for each other and our city.”
The Steamboat Springs Police Department is comprised of more than twenty-nine sworn police officers and nearly fifteen civilian personnel, who provide around the clock public safety services to the City of Steamboat Springs. Last year, the department responded to more than 13,000 calls for service across patrol services, investigations, evidence, animal control, community service and records.
