The City of Steamboat Springs wants to remind folks about proper snow removal. Shovel your snow where it can best infiltrate the ground, instead of becoming stormwater runoff. Don’t pile snow on storm drains, near bodies of water or into a waterway. Check your plowing equipment when you can to make sure there aren’t any fluid leaks. Here’s more from the City of Steamboat Springs.

Median work is being done along Hwy 40 in Steamboat today. Yampa Valley Electric crews are relighting the median from the work done there this summer. The left side of the eastbound lane will be closed from Old Fish Creek Falls Road to about Hilltop Parkway until the work is complete.

Work is wrapping up on the resurfacing project of Highway 40 from Sand Springs Gulch to Craig. It’s about a 12-mile stretch. Colorado Department of Transportation, in partnership with Elam Construction, also repaved a section of CO 13 on Yampa Avenue, and they removed and replaced the signal poles at Highway 40 and Green Street in Craig.
