The 23rd Annual Airline Partners Summit in Steamboat wraps up on Wednesday. About 170 people from the airline and travel industry are in Steamboat Springs.
Rob Perlman and Katie Brown with Steamboat Resort spoke Tuesday morning, as did other airline industry reps.
One person who attended was recently elected Routt County Commissioner Sonja Macys who has also worked at Yampa Valley Regional Airport as a ground handler since 2016.
“Yampa Valley Regional Airport is one of the most significant assets that Routt County has. So understanding trends in aviation, understanding how aviation partners are aligning with our goals of sustainability and climate action is really important as we grow our airport and follow along those consistent lines of sustainable growth.”
The local airport in Hayden has six airline carriers serving 16 non-stop cities in the United States. Those airlines are Alaska Airlines, Jet Blue, American, Delta, Southwest, and United.
