Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue is hiring for Firefighter, EMT, and Paramedics. There are five positions available. There are some requirements you have to meet to get the job, including a formal application, interview, written exam, physical ability test, psychological evaluation, background check and firefighter fitness evaluation and health screening. Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic Slots Available With Salary Ranging from $63K-$100K
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-March 7, 2023-Do you have burning desire to make a difference in your community? Ready to take advantage of a hot new job prospect? Want to be part of a team environment? Then this is the opportunity for you as Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue (SSFR) is now accepting applications for Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic positions.

These positions will operate under the direction of the Shift Captain or Lieutenant and are expected to perform daily fire operations involving fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, hazardous materials operations, fire prevention & public education, safety inspections, equipment & facility maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

SSFR is a department of the City of Steamboat Springs with an intergovernmental agreement with the Steamboat Springs Area Fire Protection District to provide emergency services within the district. Staffed by three shifts which provide emergency coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the combined fire district is approximately 385 square miles including the 10 square miles that make up the city.
