Free gun locks are available in Routt and Moffat County. They’re provided by REPS which is Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide. Brayden Jerde with REPS was dropping the free gun locks off at the Combined Law Enforcement Building in Steamboat Springs this week.

 

“I’m focused on the Gun Shop project which encourages people to lock up their guns so that people can’t hurt themselves. They biggest thing we want to share is that there’s a lot of free help out there that can help a lot of people.”

 

The free gun locks are in the lobby at the Routt County Sheriff’s Office and Steamboat Springs Police Department in Steamboat, and also in the lobby at the Moffat County Public Safety Center in Craig.
