Concordia Lutheran Church in Steamboat Springs has a new minister. Jon Muhly (myoo-lee) is from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Before that, he spent 11 years in Russia, Southern Poland, and Central Asia. He’s happy to now be in Steamboat Springs.
“It’s magnificent. It’s a beautiful place. It’s got a lot of the things that the other places in America wished they had. It’s definitely God’s Country and a fantastic place to be and see and experience.”
Muhly’s oldest graduates from high school this year. Then his wife and five kids will move out in June.
Muhly is also working on becoming the official chaplain for the Routt County Sheriff’s Office.
Muhly replaces Craig Henningfield who was the minister at Concordia Lutheran for eight years before retiring.
