Steamboat Resort has fully resolved a sewer line leak on Lower Vagabond. It happened last month. Steamboat Resort spokesperson Loryn Duke says help came in from a third-party contractor out of Craig. Workers found the problem, flushed the line, sent the leakage into a sewer manhole, and fixed the leaking sewer pipe. Nothing is leaking now. Steamboat Resort also worked with the US Forest Service and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to report the incident.

“It feels great. It was nice to come back to the U.S. and be able to wrap up a successful season in Europe and top it off with defending my national championship title from last year. Thank you all for all of the support throughout the year and cheering for me. I felt it over in Europe and I couldn’t be doing it without all of you all so I appreciate it.”

Jay Poulter was third.

“It’s just like it puts your club out there and everything you’ve been working through the whole season finally comes together for a victory like that. Then your coaches and fellow teammates can breathe out and feel like all the work through the year has paid off.”

“I wasn’t sure how I would do because I had just gotten off a plane that morning, so I was super excited when I won and it was really just a great environment being up there with my coach and my teammates and did everything I could and I walked away with the win and I’m super proud of that.”

Boyd says she would like to thank her SSWSC Coach, Erik Gunderson, and all of the other coaches who helped her this season. That includes Steamboat’s Mick Dierdorff, Jarrod Swah from Winter Park and JW from Team Summit.

The three different national championship competitions continue this week.
