Officials in Northwest Colorado are still keeping an eye on the weather and the potential for flooding. Moffat County Commissioners declared a Local Disaster Emergency last Friday on the advice of Todd Wheeler, the director of Moffat County Emergency Management. It’s because of the continued imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury, or loss of life due to the flooding. Moffat County and Northwest Colorado has had 148% of normal snowfall this winter. The warm weather this week could cause more flooding, especially in Moffat County and Hayden. Local government social media pages, and ours, are being updated with the latest.
