The Steamboat Springs Police Department promoted some of their officers and also announced new hires in the police department Wednesday evening.

Interim Police Chief Mark Beckett presented the promotions.

Here’s the list:

• Brian Arthur – promoted to Sergeant (not pictured)
• Christian Barnett – promoted to Corporal
• Sierra Weld – promoted to Detective
• Laura Nieslanik – Records Technician

 

• Braxton Shirley – promoted to Corporal

 

• Lisa Eifling – promoted to School Resource Officer

 

• Patty Oakland – new hire as Civilian Criminal Investigator

 

• Adrian Najera – new hire as Community Service Officer

Adrian Najera is a new Community Service Officer for Steamboat Springs. He is a 2022 graduate of Moffat County High School in Craig.

“I want to be one day a police officer and eventually a detective so I think this is a good start for me.”
