Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently gave an update on the band’s upcoming new album. The upcoming collection will serve as the first record with John 5 on electric guitar and without co-founder Mick Mars.

Sixx shared a tweet that said: “Hit the studio with @thevinceneil today in London. The new @MotleyCrue songs are 100% officially done and ready for the mix.”

Rumors of a follow-up to 2008’s “Saints of Los Angeles” started last month, when Sixx shared a picture of himself, John 5, and drummer Tommy Lee in the studio with longtime producer Bob Rock.  The Crüe will also be embarking on a summer tour across Europe with Def Leppard.
