Today is the last day in office for Kayla Rossi of South Routt County. For the past year, she has served as state treasurer in the Colorado Future Farmers of America. Rossi has been living and traveling with the state officer team for the FFA for the past year.
“This year especially taught me what it means to be a servant leader. Leadership is not a title or position like most of us subconsciously think it is. Leadership is about serving other people. We got to learn that this year as a state officer team. We had to put our biggest smiles on but we had to make sure we’re serving the people around us.”
Rossi has been at the Colorado FFA Agricultural Education Convention in Pueblo this week. Rossi has served for a year as the FFA state treasurer. Her parents also served on the state board for FFA. She’s headed to the University of Wyoming in the fall, on the Daniels Fund scholarship.
